The Canadian Society of Magazine Editors was established to be the voice of Canadian magazine editors. As a member, you can take advantage of great opportunities for networking while continuing to learn at every event. CSME offers:

INFORMATIVE, ENTERTAINING LUNCHEONS AND MIXERS

CSME hosts a minimum of two luncheon and two evening mixers, which feature dynamic guest speakers addressing topics that are relevant, timely and engaging for Canadian editors. And join us for our annual summer barbecue – no speakers, no professional development, just relaxed fun with your editing colleagues.

Last year's highlights included:

- Multi-media, One Brand: Editors Kathy Ullyott from Homemakers Magazine, Edward Fraser from The Hockey News and Jackie Kovacks from Today's Parent examined how their publications rise to the challenge of sustaining one clear brand among their print, website, twitter, blog and other voices.

- Cover Buster Boot Camp: D.B. Scott discussed what it takes to make or break a magazine cover and how to revitalize your cover for the newsstand.

- Prepare to Launch: Editors of three brand new magazines, Garden Making, The Kit and dandyhorse, shared insights into how they started up these titles in the midst of an unstable market.
